If regular ways to add a networked or shared printer no longer work in Windows 11 as it throws an error about credentials being incorrect or not having enough rights, there is a simple way to fix this.
First, you need to go to Control Panel – User Accounts – Windows Credentials.
Click on Windows Credentials and then Add Windows Credentials.
Fill out all appropriate information (server name, username and password) and click OK.
Now go back to the printer adding prompt and it will no longer give you the prompt error.
